so even though no one reads this, i thought i would talk to casper anyways. this story is just a rough draft. just thought i should mention that. okay here is the next part of chapter 1 “So,” Ryan began as he watched Lily enter their kitchen, “what do you think?” “What do I think about what?” Derek asked focusing all his attention on the game. “You know…about her?” “Oh you mean Lily?” “Yeah,” Ryan answered impatient with Derek’s temporary ignorance. “She’s cool,” Derek replied. “Smart,” Michael added. Jake nodded his head in agreement. Ryan turned his head toward Keith waiting for him to say something, anything. “What about you, Keith?” Keith tried to keep his opinions to himself but failed. ‘This is a prime example of why not to drink beer children,’ Keith thought to himself. “She is beautiful and amazing and perfect.” He continued in a whisper only Ryan could hear,” I don’t know why you insist on hurting her.” Ryan shrugged. “What she doesn’t know can’t hurt her.” “Who is beautiful, amazing, and perfect?” Lily questioned as she regained her beer from Ryan and squeezed into the place next to him. Lily eagerly grabbed chips from the new bowl she brought as she waited for an answer, even though, knowing them, she would never receive one. A scream erupted from Derek, Michael, and Jake. Ryan grimaced as if he was in actual physical pain. Keith spit out his drink and Lily almost choked on her chips. “Patriots scored!” Lily announced proudly returning the high fives of the other guys. She teasingly stuck her tongue out at Ryan and kissed his cheek. No matter how much they shared with one another, Lily and Ryan could not end their rivalry over the Colts and the Patriots. Ryan ignored her and tried to regain his composure. Lily stared at his tan, handsome face and adorable chestnut curls which reminded her of a Greek god. She felt a pang of guilt and unconsciously looked down. “I’m sorry.” “For what?” Ryan asked completely ignorant to what she had to be sorry for. “I’m sorry the Colts let the Patriots scored.” Now Lily would not even look his way. Lily knew the touchdown upset him as much as it excited her. He draped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer, allowing her head to rest on his shoulder. “No you’re not.” Lily smiled as he gazed into her amazing hazel eyes. She giggled. Ryan liked the feeling against his body. “Not really. I just hate seeing you so sad.” He planted a light kiss on her forehead and ended the conversation. |
